Willy Ambaka and Dan Sikuta have pulled out of the Kenya Sevens squad for the next two legs of the World Rugby Sevens World Series in Hong Kong and Singapore.

A brief statement from the Kenya Rugby Union stated the two were unable to travel with the team that left for Hong Kong on Monday morning.

Ambaka is out due to a personal commitment while Sikuta misses this tour due to work commitments, the statement read.

Already, the team is depleted in the absence of Billy Odhiambo, Oscar Ayodi and Oscar Ouma who are injured. Leonard Mugaisi who was rested for the next two legs could be called up.

Sports News Arena reliably learned Ambaka is on the verge of securing a professional contract with New Zealand side Manawatu while Sikuta may have been prevailed upon to play for his club in the Kenya Cup semi final at the weekend.
