Skipper Dennis Oliech is yet to make an appearance at the national training team, Harambee Stars, training camp ahead of next week’s international friendly match against Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

The AJ Auxerre man, who was the first and so far the only foreign-based professional player to arrive for the high profile match, has skipped all training sessions since he jetted into the country on Sunday.

According to a source in the team’s technical bench, Oliech was expected in the camp latest Wednesday evening.

“We expect Oliech to link up with the team by today evening. The other professionals should also start trickling in tomorrow (Thursday)."

Those expected in camp are first choice goalkeeper Arnold Origi (Ullensaker - Norway), Victor Mugubi (Celtic - Scotland), Brian Mandela (Sanlam Santos - South Africa), Jerry Santos (Coastal Union, Tanzania) and Patrick Osiako (Hapoel Be’er Sheva - Israel).

All the 15 home-based players turned up for the morning training session at the City Stadium under the watchful eye of head coach Henri Michel and fitness trainer Florent Motta.

The latest arrival was Gor Mahia goalkeeper Fredrick Onyango who joined camp after attending his sister’s burial at the weekend.

On Monday, the French coach trimmed his 29-man provisional squad to fifteen. Among the top Kenya Premier League stars that were dropped were Gor Mahia’s Rama Salim and AFC Leopards strikers Mike Barasa and Allan Wanga.
