​Lung’aho drops four players for Doha World Club

Kenya Prisons coach David Lung’aho on Tuesday dropped four players from the 22 who have been training for the forthcoming FIVB women's world club cup championship that will take place in October 13-19 in Doha, Qatar.

Lung’aho excluded Leah Imbiakha, Gladys Wangui, Catherine Simiyu and Sarah Chepchumba from the squad that will have a chance to test their strength this weekend during the sixth leg of Kenya Volleyball Federation at Shanzu teachers College, Mombasa.​

The team will shift their training base to Moi Sports centre Kasarani indoor facility next week where they will camp until their departure for Doha.

Lung'aho will further drop four more players to remain with his traveling squad of 12 next month.

Prisons, the four time African champions are paired in a pool that includes Fenerbahce Universal of Turkey and Lanchores Catano from Puerto Rico.​

Lung’aho however could be forced to rein hard on selected disciplinary cases within the team. Setter Jane Wacu did not attend three sessions of training last week.

Last year she was suspended from the national team by KVF for gross misconduct at the All Africa Games in Mozambique.
