Duncan, Shivam, Aslam nominated for Motorsports Award

Reigning KCB Kenya National Rally Champion Ian Duncan and star rider Shivam Vinayak are among those nominated for the prestigious 2011 Motor Sport Personality of the Year award.

Duncan, arguably the best all rounder in Kenya currently is incidentally the holder of this coveted title. He won the Kenya National Rally Championship title for the sixth time last year driving the state of the art Mitsubishi EVO9 and defended the Ganatra Cross Country buggy class Championship in his 'fast and furious' KTM buggy. Aslam Khan is the other nominee for the top prize.

Khan is the two time Classic Car Cup Champion and an avid collector of the vintage cars he has driven over the past three decades. Aslam who teamed up with brother Arshad Khan is one man who has seen rally technology morph through different guises. Shivam, on the other hand, has indeed made deeper inroads into Off-road Raid racing.

He stunned all and sundry recently when he was named Kenya's Most Improved Sportsman during the SOYA Awards Gala night. T
