Leopards held by Karuturi in Naivasha

AFC Leopards will remain on top of the Kenyan Premier League table despite dropping more points after being held to a 1-1 draw with Karuturi Sports in Naivasha.

The home team took the lead in the 19th minute through Benjamin Oketch from Mustapha Ogutu's free kick in a match played under heavy downpour at Karutiri's Old Trafford Stadium.

Though the first half ended in favour of the flower men, Leopards came back after the break, all guns blazing in search on an equalizer, which came in the 63rd minute through their record signing Eric Masika.

The former Gor Mahia defender headed home Salim Kinje's free-kick to send hundreds of Ingwe's traveling fans into ecstasy.

Karuturi goalkeeper Mike Wanyika was called upon time and again to keep the score even as Leopards poured forward in numbers in later stages of the match.

KCB 3 Oserian 0

At the Nyayo National Stadium, KCB made light work of Oserian thanks to Mungai Kiongera's hat-trick Kiongera struck in the 33rd, 35th and 81st minute while Protas Ambani gola in the 17st minute for the visiting team was ruled offside.

In the final minutes of the game, Paul Odhiambo found himself clear on a one on one situation with KCB goalkeeper but he blasted wide what should have been Oserian's consolation goal.

Mathare United 1 Rangers 1

In a late kick ofc match at the same venue, Mathare United and Rangers shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Mathare drew first blood in the 24th minute through former international striker Francis Ouma.

Rangers dug deep to draw level with fifteen minutes remaining on the clock courtesy of Oscar Olwith home scrambled the ball home in a goalmouth melee.

Chemelil Sugar 0 Western Stima 1

In Chemelil, Western Stima broke the hearts of their hosts with a 1-0 win. Ali Bhai tapped home Alloys Mangi's pass in the 65th minute for the all-important goal.
