The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will open new bids for countries wishing to host CHAN 2018.

A CAF Executive committee meeting in Ghana on Saturday stripped Kenya of the hosting rights.

CAF, whose technical committee completed an inspection tour of the proposed venues earlier this week based their decision on three reasons among them: 1. The slow process of preparations; 2. Sincerity by the Kenya delegation and 3. The Current political situation.

At the same meeting, CAF stated that Cameroon will host the next Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and Ghana the women's version in 2018.
