The first leg of the Orange CAF Champions League 2014 between ES Setif (Algeria) and TP Mazembe (DR Congo) scheduled for Saturday, 20 September 2021 in Setif will be played behind closed doors.

The decision was taken by the CAF Organising Committee for Interclubs Competitions at its meeting on Wednesday, 17 September 2021 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The decision follows financial sanctions and warnings by the CAF Disciplinary Committee over repeated incidents of unsporting behaviour by fans of ES Setif, as mentioned in various reports of match officials especially during the group phase of the Orange CAF Champions League 2014.

CAF also clarified that it has not granted Guinea the green-light to host matches at home. "CAF wishes to affirm that the circular dated 12 August 2021 which stated that Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone cannot hold matches on their territories due to Ebola outbreak still holds."

The CAF Medical Committee and World Health Organization have been in consultation and the CAF Executice Committee is scheduled to meet on September 19-20 at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, to decide on further precautionary measures with countries hit by the Ebola outbreak.
