There were mixed reactions from Gor Mahia fans following the decision by the Independent Disciplinary and Complaint Committee IDCC to who ruled that the club will play their next three home fixture in an empty stadium.

Peter Otieno, Gor Mahia Obama branch Secretary General supported decision saying the ruling was in order but the Gor Mahia Facebook branch chairman Nzoro Kiiru, felt it was a draconian decision adding that that was a plot by IDCC and Kenya Premier League (KPL) to kill community clubs in the country.

"Gor Mahia is a community club who don’t depend entirely on sponsor,"argued Kiiru who felt that Gor Mahia fans were wrongly accused of the mayhem that rocked their derby against AFC Leopards last month.

"We need money to pay players allowances, technical bench and the day to day running of the office, all that money cannot come from the sponsor and if IDCC does notreverse this decision, the club stand to lose heavily, up to three million shillings."

Kiiru hopes that Football Kenya Federation FKF Chairman, Sam Nyamweya can to intervene and request IDCC to reverse the ‘harsh decision’.

Kiiru and Otieno who held a joint press conference on Friday expressed the clubs commitment to identify the hooligans and have already handed over some to the police.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia fans will hold a peaceful demonstration in Nakuru on Saturday, before Saturday’s kicks off against Ulinzi Stars at Afraha stadium .
