When the Rwandair flight taxis off from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 4.35 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016, on board will be the Kenyan Junior team to the African Junior Championships (AJC) in South Africa.
The team is expected to arrive in Pretoria, South Africa on the the same day for the premier Junior championships which is sated for March 7-18 at the High Performance Centre (HPC) in Pretoria.
In the team are players in the under-14 and 16 categories andKenya habours hopes of a good showing since they have been in intensive training over the last few weeks under coach Caroline Oduor.
The team is made up of Albert Njogu and Sheil Kotecha who will be representing Kenya in the boys' under-16. The girls' contingent in the same age category are Faith Nyabera Omurunga and Esther Wahome.
The sole representative in the boys under-14 is Ryan Randiek, with the girls' duo of Sneha Kotecha and Angela Nyangweso Okutoyi completing the line up of seven players.
Two of the players, Sheil and Sneha Kotecha are already in South Africa and have the added advantage of acclimatizing and subsequently participating in the NWU Pukke/RVTA ITF 2 Grade 5 tournament. The two are in the company of coach Rosemary Owino.
