Kenya spikes Egypt in Zone V qualifiers

Malkia Strikers have completed the first stage of their campaign for the 2018 FIVB World championship in Japan on a clean plate.

On Sunday, they signed off by beating Egypt 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-17) on the final day of the Zone Five qualifiers which served off on Friday at Kasarani Indoor Stadium.

As a result, Kenya will proceed to the second round of the qualification during the Africa championship to fight for the single ticket to Japan. 

On Sunday, Uganda bounced back from two sets down to beat Rwanda 3-2 ( 23-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23, 15-9) in their only win.

In their opening match, Kenya beat Uganda 3-0 (25-12, 25-15,25-12) and Rwanda 3-0 (25-22,25-16, 25-16) .
