  • Nakuru RFC suspended three players ahead of their match against Kenya Harlequin FC.

Kenya Harlequin FC and Homeboyz RFC have tricky Kenya Cup away matches against Nakuru RFC and Mwamba RFC respectively which could have an impact on the league table.

On match day 12, there will be two double headers. The first one will be at Impala Club where Impala RFC play Nondescripts RUFC and KCB face Mean Machine.

Nakuru Athletic Club will host the second one. They play Quins after the match between Bungoma Sharks and Thika RFC. Both matches will be live on Zuku Sport.

Quins are joint top with Impala RFC on 46 points while Homeboyz lie third on 42 points. KCB who are placed fourth with 41 points have a seemingly easy home match against Mean Machine.

Impala host Nondies who have gone for three matches without a win. In this match, Daniel Ndome replaces Stephen Juma at front row in the only change for Impala. Nondies have included Biko Adema.

Going to the weekend, the top three sides have a chance of going clear at the top but pressure is on Quins and Homeboyz who have tricky fixtures against unpredictable sides.

Mwamba (37) and Nakuru (36) will be playing at home and will not be easy opponents.

Quins have made six changes in the side to play against Nakuru. Kenya Sevens players have been released to play for their teams this weekend before the squad to travel to Las Vegas is named on Tuesday.

As a result, William Ambaka is available and replaces William Mawira at open wing. Pius Shiundu has been rested. David Ambunya and Partice Agunda will pair up at center. Kevin Umbuge replaces Brian Okwomi at backrow.

Joash Odhalo slots in for Lyle Asiligwa who is unavailable. Paul Kioko and Leroy Anyembe start ahead of Ayub Kimutai and Dennis Mugambi.

Hosts Nakuru RFC will be without three players who have been suspended. Coach Dominique Habimana explained Kelvin Omiyo, Martin Muita and Lawrence Buyachi failed to follow pre-match protocol.

He has included Donald Aluoch and Geoff Ominde who are in the Kenya Sevens squad. Nelson Oyoo, another Kenya Sevens player has been named as a replacement.  Isaiah Nyariki returns from injury.

Homeboyz and Mwamba clash

Coming off a painful 10-11 loss to Strathmore University on Wednesday, Homeboyz have a dounting task against Mwamba. They risk dropping off the top four in case of a loss because fifth-placed Strathmore on 38 points will be hosting Western Bulls who have lost the last two matches.

But, the arithmetic will be highly impacted in case of a bonus point for either a loss or win. Humphrey Kayange is a likely inclusion to the squad.

Head coach John Mbai has maintained they will pile pressure on table toppers with wins and he has to select the best available squad for the weekend duel.

Lavin Asego and Kevin Wambua are other considerations for an experienced halfback combination. Upcoming Victor Wayodi and Shaban Ahmed were fielded at halfback last weekend. Dennis Ombachi is also in the line up.

Kabras Sugar who have 34 points is another team that will hope to keep up with the top teams. They host Blak Blad who have won once in their last five matches.
