Homeboyz have been on a roll but they face an ultimate test against Nakuru RFC, the defending Kenya Cup champions as the league resumes after nearly a two-week break.

Paul Murunga, the Homeboyz coach acknowledged the tie as the real test and named a formidable side which will be without Oscar Ayodi and Joshua Chisanga who are in South Africa with Kenya Shujaa.

Nakuru will also miss Oscar Ouma who is in South Africa. Dominique Habimana, the coach says there is no easy match. He faults poor officiating too but believes Homeboyz will be a tough side. Habimana singled out precision in attack and concentration in defense as key to a win.

“We are stepping up all departments, ready for any challenge,” he warned. His line up is unlikely to change with the only difference being the promotion of a player from the Eric Shirley Shield side. Meshack Ochieng, a center gets the promotion.

Striking distance

Another key fixture pits Nondescripts RUFC against Strathmore University at the ASK, Jamhuri ground. The White shirts are fifth and within a striking distance of the play-offs. Strathmore University lost 12-50 to Homeboyz in their last match.
