Strathmore University will meet Telkom Orange for the third time this year when the students entertain 16-time Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) in the national women's league final match at City Park Hockey Stadium on Sunday.

Strathmore is the only side to have beaten Telkom Orange this year when Billy Okumu scored the lone goal in their last 2013/2014 league match last March.

This was a revange for Strathmore who had lost to Telkom Orange in an Africa Club Cup Championship final less than a month in Kampala, Uganda.

The new pooling format of play introduced by KHU to cover for the lost time due to delay in the league's start  saw the two most successful clubs at continental stage in recent years avoid each other at the preliminary stage.

Telkom Orange beat Sliders 4-0 while Strathmore University overcame the United States International University - Africa (USIU-A) 3-0 in the semi finals of the women's national league on Saturday.

Both teams are still un-parking their bags after the completion of the Continental championship in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe where Telkom Orange retained the title and Strathmore finished fourth.

In the semi finals, Margaret Rotich, Lilian Aura, Hellen Chemutai and Jackline Mwangi goals sent Telkom Orange to the final as they seek a record 17 national title.

Strathmore will be seeking their first league title.

On Sunday, Jos Openda, Telkom Orange coach will rely heavily on Mwangi, Rotich and Chemtai who scored five goals in Zimbabwe.

In the men's Premer league, Butali Sugar will entertain defending champions Kenya Police. The national men's final will bring together Parklands Sports Club against Kenyatta University with the winner gaining a promotion to the Premier League.
