Kenya made short works of Uganda winning 3-0 (25-12, 25-15,25-12) on Friday in the opening match of the women's African volleyball World Championship qualifier at the Kasarani indoor arena.

It took Kenya less than an hour to beat the youthful Uganda team. The result means Kenya are one match away from qualifying for the Africa Nations Championship in Egypt.

Today they face Rwanda from 5 p.m. while Uganda have a tough task against Egypt from 3 p.m.
